Creative Bible study for adults reaches past a moment of sitting and studying; it involves learning to walk through every moment of every day saying - "I spy God!”
What if we could connect everyday words to God’s Word, the Bible, to help us know and grow closer to The Word, Jesus? What if words could bring meaning to our life in a whole new way?
Words are fascinating! The written word consists of lines and curves arranged in various positions to make letters; these become words with meaning and then join together in expressing thoughts and ideas. In a similar way, phonemes or sounds placed into a particular pattern communicate through the spoken word. Without words, without language, life would not only be completely confusing, it would be less.

Then there is the Word of God. God speaking through His creation, through the Bible and ultimately through His Son Jesus, The Word.
“In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days He has spoken to us by His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, and through whom also He made the universe.” Hebrews 1:1-2
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God…The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the one and only Son, Who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:1, 14
A word is not just a bunch of random letters. Each word has order and gives meaning. What in your life right now is bringing meaning to your existence? A word, whether spoken or read, shares a thought; it references something beyond the letters. The letters – V, R, R, E, I – have no meaning in and of themselves, but when they are arranged as – RIVER, they bring to mind a picture of water running through a channel.
Even though God reveals Himself throughout creation, He wanted to make sure we understood Who He is…so He sent His Son, Jesus, as The Word – Who was in the beginning with Him and is God Himself. We can know Him, not just about Him.

If you've enjoyed our website, I hope you'll be excited about this upcoming book release!
Three words describe this book: random, organized, connected…random words have been placed in an organized format while connecting God’s Word to facets of His world in our everyday lives all for the purpose of us growing in knowing Him better.
You won’t find in-depth theology within these pages or an all-inclusive list of words. This isn’t a Bible concordance or dictionary. My goal and hope for this book is to give you short, simple, but also intriguing thoughts, to draw your interest and cause you to want to dig deeper, learn more, and seek God as He is all around you.
I consider this a tool to initiate creative Bible study for adults. I’ve tried to give you a variety of topics and formats. You’ll find 123 random words from all walks of life and creation with a connection to over 500 Bible references from at least 44 of the 66 Books of the Bible. God speaks; may we be found listening.
“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge. They have no speech, they use no words; no sound is heard from them. Yet their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world.”
Psalm 19:1-3
“For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities - His eternal power and divine nature - have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.”
Romans 1:20

Start at the beginning, use the table of contents, or flip through the pages to select a word or the amount of reading for which you have time. There is a topical index located in the back to give structure if desired. You can even start with music through the song index.
Although bits of randomness can give us a starting point and ignite our interest, our time in God’s presence through Bible study and prayer is not meant to stay random. His Word is “living and active” as Hebrews 4:12 tells us and unlike human words, it changes lives! If you are unsure how to make this a part of your everyday, take a look in the back at how to have what we like to call a “quiet time” with God. But don’t limit time in His presence to a certain time of day; He is Immanuel, God with us throughout our days. Take time to look up and read the Bible verses given. I like to use the YouVersion Bible App to read selected verses in a variety of translations thereby giving me a greater understanding of what’s being said.
I also suggest you choose at least one verse each day to read in context noticing what is taking place around those verses. Go beyond the pages of this book into the pages of His Book, The Bible, and hear God speak!

We try to check others' faith statements and make sure they do profess Jesus Christ as God's Son and salvation is found only in Him. It must, however, be your responsibility to personally dig into God's Word and allow the Holy Spirit to be your first and final teacher on all subjects.
