Creative Bible Tidbits, Issue #53 - Creative Bible Study for 2026!

New Format for 2026

I'm changing it up for 2026! I want this newsletter to be more personal and relevant. I feel like you and I are in ministry together. We may be miles or an ocean apart, but we can remain close in heart as we serve our Lord Jesus!

You'll find a few sections:

* "Monthly Update" on what's new on CreativeBibleStudy.com

* "Personal Note" which may include what God's doing in my life, what I'm reading, etc.

* "Monthly Highlights" will point to certain object lessons, devotions, etc. which are spotlighted for the season.

So here we go...

January Updates

This month (as well as the past 8 months) I have focused on a new project God gave me which will be coming to Amazon soon!

Creative Bible study reaches past a moment of sitting and studying; it involves learning to walk through every moment of every day saying - "I spy God!”

What if we could connect everyday words to God’s Word, the Bible, to help us know and grow closer to The Word, Jesus? What if words could bring meaning to our life in a whole new way? Connecting God's Word with His world in our everyday lives reminds us He is near and desires us to know Him.

You won’t find in-depth theology within these pages or an all-inclusive list of words. This isn’t a Bible concordance or dictionary. This is a Bible study tool to give you short, simple, but also intriguing thoughts, to draw your interest and cause you to want to dig deeper, learn more, and seek God as He is all around you.

You’ll find 123 random words from all walks of life and creation with a connection to over 500 Bible references from at least 45 of the 66 Books of the Bible. God speaks; may we be found listening.

Watch for updates coming soon about the release date!

Also, our Privacy Policy has been updated as a reminder we never share your information: CBS Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.

A Personal Note

Instead of making New Year's resolutions, I like to pray and ask God for a "word" for each year. My word for 2025 was "clarity" as I asked the Lord to make clear the direction He wanted me to go during this season of my life. (I'm 62 and loving being a grandparent!) He has been so faithful in guiding me each day to find a balance of writing and in-person ministry. Each day has been different and such a blessing.

Clarity for a new word for 2026 has been a bit muddled and unclear. I thought I had settled on "purpose"...living each moment and day with a focus on purpose. And I really like the Bible verse Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 9:26 - "Therefore I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating the air." I want to make a difference in the world God has placed me to point others to the hope found in Jesus! When I started writing this newsletter, it reminded me I also want to be "real." I'm "just Susan." I want to be brave and let others know me in a way they can see Jesus in a real way and know He is real!

Hmmm...maybe I should trust God each day to help me strive for "real purpose" for His glory!

Monthly Highlights

I absolutely love how science can point us to Jesus! I enjoyed putting together this fun science experiment object lesson using absorption to demonstrate how when God's love fills our heart, His love should spread to other empty hearts around us. Kids could use this simple object lesson any time to also share the Gospel message to witness to their friends!

Or use a popular children's book lesson to share God's love with kids!

Chester's mother gives him something to remind him he is loved by her even when she isn't with him. How much more important is it for us to assure our children God's love is with them no matter where they go?! The Kissing Hand
